Conversation course

As the title says we will be practicing conversation in Greek. The lessons’ subjects will be agreed upon together, but will also be offered to you. As such we’ll be speaking about cultural subjects like the theatre of Epidavros and the Sanctuary of Asklepios, which we’ll be visiting later on during the course.
And what do you think of delivering a monologue in Greek to the top rows of the ancient theatre? The teacher will give you grammar exercises at your personal level, and give you narrating instructions; and we’ll be working with songs, role-play and walkmans. Make sure you carry your own familiar dictionaries and grammar books. The course staff will provide the necessary writing-materials, copies, newspaper-articles and things otherwise related.
This 10-day course comprises 28 hours of lessons witin a program of different cultural activities such as a visit to both theatres and enough spare time to enjoy Greek country-life.
The lessons will be taught at the Pevkotheatro, a small open-air theatre overlooking the harbour, in the shade of two huge pine-trees.
The conversation with Greeks will be held at other nice locations in the village.

Course instructors: Kostas is a Greek teacher and will guide you through the lessons. He does speak English, but of course he’s there to communicate in Greek with the participants. Karen de Vries will be supporting the course and accompany the excursions. She speaks Dutch and Greek as well as English and German.
